Export to a node file
« on: October 10, 2016, 01:15:55 PM »
You can create so called 'node files' directly from AREAL3D pulldown menu,
where you can decide to export trees, lights or user elements as separate nodefile for each AREAL3D element in your model (top level, as inserted by AREAL3D - we work now on export from inside of groups).

This function creates separate sketchup files type by type in the 'nodes' - subdirectory,
where every element is replaced by a simple cylinder-component.

If you export 'user'-elements, you must have defined at least one user element in the context menu of the alley/row/element tool.

Now, this function is designed especially for element export towards LUMION.

In Lumion you can simply import one nodefile after another and place your desired lumion element (tree or light).
It can be useful to place all node-elements at one layer. By that you can delete them easily, when you change your design in sketchup and want to redefine via nodes in Lumion.

This can help a lot, when you want to equalise your sketchup and lumion design.

It was no problem to import over 30000 trees via 1 nodefile to lumion.
At the moment the exported noded files have the same skp-version as the skp-installation, they were generated from.
If you have an older lumion version, just open the nodefiles and save them as SKP2015 or earlier.
