Now, when maps are inserted from Google, you find your data at two system layers:
- MAPS
- TERRAIN
Let us work with the 3D-data:
Just imported the maps are locked. If you unlock them, all edges are hidden, so that it is not easy to draw exactly on them.
So, in the
selector -context menu >> helpers
you will find following functions:
Convert imported maps to surfaceAll selected maps on the Google system layer will be unlocked and the meshes will be converted to surfaces with visible outer loop edges. The maps remain smooth.
At this point the position of the map is not locked, so please be careful.
In this state you can draw on the group or within the group very easily between the outer borders with some external tools.
