There are several options for creating a beam.
Select the desired option in the context menu (input).

1. P2P - create a beam from startpoint to endpoint

Simply define start and end for the beam on any surface or element and the beam will be created.

Hold shift for fixing the height of the start point (beam becomes horizontal).
Hold shift+alt for fixing the height of the end point (beam becomes horizontal).

2. Create from selection

- pick an edge
- pick a selection of edges (select via ctrl)
- move left on face / surface to get its outline

3.offline

4. Circular beam

Define a beam by its diameter (two points). This beam is always created at the start height.

Move a selected beam (mouseover with the tool activated) in vertical direction via KEY UP/DOWN.

Create construction points on the beam via context.
