Limits of AREAL3D
« on: April 04, 2016, 12:41:27 AM »
AREAL3D works with simple forms and elements.
The buildings can be sketches without any detailed construction, containing floors, facades and roofs.
If not edited, all floors of generated buildings have the same area in the basis form.
However, you can add some details, if you like,
like columns, inner walls, facade details, roof details, balkonies, lintels and parapets, ceilings and downlights etc. via preferences toolbar.
This may sometimes be useful for quick visualisations.

Loading saved building definitions is also a good way to define the buildings rather quickly.

BUILDINGS

The total building costs contain
- floor areas
- facade / elevation
- roof area

Technical equipment and FF&E can be added.

TERRAIN

The terrain cost are defined via material painted on the surface (user defined costs).

ELEMENTS & EQUIPMENT

Element costs can either depend on amount or / and length of those elements.

V 0.9.xx :
The 'cost' calculation is still in development, so there is more to come. At the moment elements like bridges, fences, portals and so on are not included in the calculation, but surely will be soon.

For the future the goal is to have a definition for every inserted element in the project.
