« on: March 07, 2015, 10:02:03 AM »
You can select

- edges
- faces
- surfaces
- fields

with 1 click

- all elements with double-click and further options

- special 1-click selection for faces in a surface can be activated from the context menu

- select faces by material from the context-menu

You can see some important parameters of the selection in the status bar and in the console (if activated).

Context-Menu:

DESELECT AND ADD ELEMENTS

- Deselect desired element type from the active selection (edges, faces, groups, components)

- Add desired elements to the active selection

- Keep desired lelement type from a selection (=deselect all but desired)

SELECT LINE

- select line : all connected edges, sharing the vertical plane of the start edge, will be selected,
        there are two options :
              - select all (visible and hidden)
              - select visible only (here only visible edges are selected)

- select line +
like select line, but somea additional edges are included into the selection

SELECT +

SELECTING FIELD:

Normally in Sketchup, you can select a surface or a face.

AREAL3D provides a 3rd type of selection, so called FIELD,
by which you can select all faces with the same material with one click (regardless of the visibility of their edges), building a FIELD of one material (works with undefined fields, too).
